In this page you will find answers to the most frequently ask questions about our products.AVRPROQ. I just got my AVRPRO and have plugged the unit in, but I get no power or the unit does not turn on.

A. Make sure the power switch on front of the unit is in the on position.

Unplug AVRPRO from the wall and check for power at the desired outlet using a lamp or light bulb.

Unplug all the equipment from the back of the AVRPRO. Proceed to push in the breaker in the back of the AVRPRO and turn Power switch to the on position. Plug in one item at a time if the unit disconnects turn off, the self protect breaker has engaged due to an over load. You need a more powerful AVR PRO to protect your equipment


Q. The AVR PRO is always making a clicking noise.

A. The AVR PRO Uses microprocessor controlled relays that will make a clicking noise as the unit corrects high and low voltages. In other words it is doing its job.

Q. I have had my AVRPRO for some time and it has stopped working.

A. Go though the steps of the first question under AVRPRO Series to check for power.The AVR PRO Uses MOV (Metal Oxide Varsities) to absorb and suppress spikes and surges. After some time or after a very catastrophic electrical event the MOV will wear down or burn up. In this event you need to replace the unit or send it in to an authorized service center to get it repaired.

UPRPRO
Q .I just got my UPRPRO and have plugged the unit in, but I get no power or the unit does not turn on.

A. Make sure the power switch on front of the unit is in the on position.

Unplug UPRPRO from the wall and check for power at the desired outlet using a lamp or light bulb.

Unplug all the equipment from the Top of the UPRPRO. Proceed to push in the breaker in the back of the UPRPRO and turn Power switch to the on position. Plug in one item at a time if the unit disconnects (turn off), the self protect breaker has engaged due to an over load. You need a more powerful UPR PRO to protect your equipment.

Open up the battery access panel located on the back of the UPRPRO. Check to make sure the Battery is well connected. Red is Positive and Black is negative. Re-try steps 1 though 3

Q. I just got my UPRPRO and have plugged the unit in and turned it on, but I get no emergency power when I pull the plug of the UPRPRO to my PC.

A. Allow the battery to charge for 8 hours then run the test again.

The UPR PRO has 8 Outlets 4 are surge only and you will not get power when you pull the plug or when there is a blackout. See the outlet banks to help you identify the surge only and battery back up banks. Only the battery back-up bank will provide emergency power in the event of a blackout.

Q. I have had my UPRPRO for some time and it has stopped working.

Q. I have had my UPRPRO for some time and it is not giving me enough time to safely shut my computer downA. Disconnect all the computer peripherals from the bank indicated Battery Back-up. Allow for 8 hours with the UPRPRO on. This will allow the batteries to recharge. Plug in you PC and re-test to see how long it will run. Note: (The UPRPRO will have a beep every few seconds to let you know you are using battery power. 10 to 60 seconds before the battery losses all power the audible alarm will emit continuos beep letting you know that you only have a few seconds to shut your computer down.) If you continue to have problems then you are overloading the UPR PRO or the batteries needs replacing. Check for an over load by doing the following.

Charge battery by allowing the unit to be on and plugged in to the outlet for 8 hours with out anything plug in to it.

Plug a 100-watt lamp/light bulb into the battery back up bank and UN-plug the UPRPRO. Time the minutes that I will take for the light bulb to turn of. On the UPRPRO 325 you should get about 5 min. on the UPRPRO520 you will get about 10 min. and on the UPRPRO 700 you will get about 15 min. If you are not getting this amount of back up time replace the battery. See an authorized service center

Q. The UPRPRO is always making a clicking noise.

A. The UPR PRO has a built in microprocessor controlled automatic voltage regulators controlled by relays that will make a clicking noise as the unit corrects high and low voltages. In other words it is doing its job.

Q. The UPR PRO Battery led is always flashing yellow or red.
Answer:
Battery is charging or it need to be replaced Follow recommendation on the above question on Not enough time to shutdown my PC.

Q. The UPR PRO is making a continuos beep sound.

A. UPRPRO is overloaded disconnect non-essential peripherals or get a larger VA UPRPRO to cover your needs.

Q. The UPR PRO is making an Intermediate 10-5 seconds beeping sound.A. UPRPRO is working on its battery. Shut your computer system down immediately. Check that the UPRPRO is properly connected. If the beeping is spermatic and last only a few seconds or minutes, The UPRPRO is doing its job properly.

Software for the UPRPRO
Q. The UPR PRO software is not working or installing correctly.

A. Make sure that you have down loaded the correct version of the software for the UPRPRO and your Operating software. Go to Software download and reload and re-install.

Q. The software does not recognize the UPR PRO.

A. This could be a configuration problem. Double check that the port you have selected for your computer to look for the UPRPRO is where you have connected the UPRPRO.Make sure that the cable from the UPRPRO to the PC is secure and making good contact.

Q. The UPR PRO Software is not letting me work it shuts down my computer.A. The software is designed to do UN-attended shutdown of you operating system. I will allow you to safely shutdown your servers and PCs. If you ignore it, the software will take control and shutdown the system to so that you do not loose data. This only happens when the batteries can no longer support the load. If you wish to manage this part please UN-install the software.
