In Mexico, people are used to not protect their electronic equipment. When they buy a computer, just think about where have put it to work. At the time of purchase they forget the importance of investing a UPS that protects the computer and they think that it’s very expensive and useless.
But what really happens when the trouble starts?
That “investment” becomes more important and the first thing comes to mind is: “how I did not buy the UPS that they offered to me”
When a person acquires a UPS, believes that his problems have been resolved. But only 10% of people know how to use a UPS.
The UPS has a certain capacity to support equipment connected into it, this is relative to the time that will last the battery in the event of power outage occurs, UPS, when a cut happens, it starts to work using the battery to provide the energy support.
See an example. What happens when the UPS begins to work in a power cut at 2:00 am in an office where on one is working; no one is around to hear the sound which UPS began to work?
The UPS will continue working until the battery runs out, unless someone turns it off. But how many users actually know that they have to turn it off?
The Sleep mode is different. It serves to protect both the computer equipment such as UPS, since most of the guarantees to a UPS are caused by the battery.
The function is that when there is power cut, like in the example above, the UPS begins to work but what makes different is that CDP only takes two minutes to realize that in fact the computer is not on, since the UPS demands the minimal energy and the Sleep mode is activated, the UPS automatically turns off to prevent draining the battery unnecessarily, but the other brands continue to use battery.
This is noticeable when people arrive in the office next morning, there is no power in the office, they start to turn on the computer and they will not be able, as the battery has been run out already. But with CDP, they can turn on the computer, as UPS starts to work automatically since it will detect the energy demand of the computer.
This helps to provide more performance by UPS to protect the computer and save warranty. It reflects a lifelong investment in a UPS.
